Finance

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Luke 12:34)

Do you have Financial Peace in your life? I must admit, I’m a Dave Ramsey fan. Our family is in the process of a “Total Money Makeover” and, even in its early stages, it has improved our finances and our marriage. I had no idea that money (or lack of financial peace) was so tightly entertwined with a successful marriage. Financial problems are the number one reason for divorce; don’t let money get in the way of a happy and successful marriage.

It’s time to change your family tree.  How will you teach your children about money management? Kids model their parents. While my dad is a saver, I spent more time with my mom, the spender. I grew up to be a spender and it wasn’t long before I found myself buried in debt trying to keep up with the Jones’. I plan to teach my girls to be responsible givers, savers and spenders. Make it a priority to teach your kids responsible money management and while you’re at it, take a minute to evaluate your family’s financial priorities.
