Our family is a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, TN. About a month ago, Marriage & Family Pastor Jeff Helton challenged us to improve our marriages over the next 50 weeks (the 50 Fridays Challenge). I’d like to share that with you in hopes it might inspire you.

Every marriage can benefit from an intentional plan. It’s so easy to allow weeks – or even months – to pass without having an honest dialogue about how your marriage really is doing. What if there was a tool that would help you have a weekly conversation about your marriage—to help you grow in spiritual, emotional and physical intimacy? That’s where 50 Fridays comes in!

The challenge is pretty simple. Each Friday I’ll post a new blog (a copy of the email from FBC) that gives you a question to discuss together as a couple. These questions are designed to help you have open and honest conversations.

Our Love Story

Drew and I met at Home Depot; I was a customer and he was working there. Drew claims it was love at first sight, but he was too nervous to ask me out. My roommate (and self-proclaimed “wing man”), who was shopping with me, invited him to hang out with us downtown that night.

We had such a great time that he asked to cook me dinner on Valentines Day, our first official date. We were married 10 months later. Since then, 2 beautiful little girls have joined our family. We are truly blessed.
